Growing with little knowledge of chords but noises that find their way into rhythm, a movement known as ViewOfAKind brings a do with what you got attitude for singer songwriter James T. Orton. The past is quite often relied on to challenge the readiness of current musical tastes. Elgin, IL being the birthplace for Orton, seemingly had its influence for the dance and beat tracks found on the debut album. From there to a Jazzy lift and almost Country tone from remembering listened to albums with his father, such as Robin Trower and Elvin Bishop. Though, as almost a religion, Van Morrison has been the strongest influence and family favorite. The vocal approach has also been noted to sound a bit Velvet Undergroundish in some tracks.
